CEMT Best Practices

The CEMT is designed to be a central hub for managing separate Royal dental Software databases.

Use the CEMT

  1. Create and use one CEMT database for all CEMT users.
  2. Create a CEMT user for each person who will use the CEMT and assign them security permissions. These permissions will restrict or grant access to certain areas of Royal dental Software databases (just like other Royal dental Software users).
  3. Create a connection for each Royal dental Software database the CEMT will manage.
  4. Refresh Connection on each connection, then Sync all security settings to all Royal dental Software databases.
  5. Have the user log into the CEMT using their CEMT username and password.
  6. The User can double click a connection to launch Royal dental Software and connect to the Royal dental Software databases. Logging on to the Royal dental Software database will be automatic with the permissions set in the CEMT.
  7. Manage all CEMT users in the CEMT only and sync to all Royal dental Software database after any change. This will avoid any concurrency issues.
